First, I wanted to show off this cute card that I got from my bf mindy. I just love the layout and I plan on casing my own very soon! I have a lot of ribbon to use up, and I love how she looped it around the two layers! Today is her birthday, so be sure to head over and wish her a happy one!Thanks for the happy mail friend!











Next, I just had to show you this cute scrap bag that my good friend Sarah gave me. Her grandmother made it. Isn't it the best? I love those bright colors and it is way more fun than hauling a trashcan around. It has sand (or something like it) in the top part and it just hangs on the table. The hearts sort of remind me of the care bears and that just makes me smile:)















































Lastly, we inherited a little puppy (he's about a year old) from some friends who had to get rid of him. We are keeping him until we can find another home. His name is Lucky and he looks like a miniture Java (our other dog) but he is quickly becoming buddies with Daisy. Isn't this the cutest picture?! He is so sweet and cuddly...I don't know if I want to pass him on! But, seriously, what would we do with three dogs?

Momma did it!

My mom made this card and sent it to me. Isn't it cute? I love when she makes cards. She is slowing acquiring some supplies, but she always says she doesn't know what to do with them. I think she does a great job and it makes me smile whenever I get one. I hope to spend some time with her this summer, making cards together!

Ashley over at ashley's creative corner sent me this wonderful package of goodies for winning one of her brainwave challenges. The ribbon looks SO fun to play with and I can't wait to try my hand at coloring some of her images she sent. She is the owner of treehouse stamps...be sure to check it out. Oh, and a very long time ago I was tagged by my wonderful friend stephanie. I am supposed to share 7 random facts and then select 7 people to tag. Here goes:

1. I love to bake bread. I make all of our bread and rolls and never have to buy them.

2. I also love to hike. I have hiked about 9 14ers (I'm not sure if that is just a Colorado word or not, but it means mountains that are over 14,000 feet!).

3. I hate milk. I don't know when the last time I had a glass of milk was. I know, it's bad. Don't worry mom, I'm still taking those calcium supplements.

4. I own a bloodhound that you can hear howling 3/4 of a mile away! Good thing we live on 6 acres:) Gotta love her.

5. I am terrified of mice! I have been known to jump on tables, chairs, and counters when I see them.

6. I began scrapbooking over ten years ago with construction paper and elmers glue. Those pages are pretty fun. (Good times minnz!)

7. I play the piano. I took lessons for 8 years when I was little. I have a beautiful piano that was given to me by my in-laws and was in their family since the late 1800's. I need to find time to play more.

I love that I get to celebrate my birthday all month long! I got two fun cards when I checked the mail and they totally made me smile! The first one is from my dear friend Holly. I love the green (of course) and I really like how she cut out all those flowers. Very fun. And the ribbon is perfect :) Check out her new blog here. Thanks for thinking of me.

The second one is a brak from amy which was a fun surprise. The layout is really fun, I like the four squares and the scallop punch in the corner. These really made my day!

Aren't these cards just the sweetest? They are from my best friend and her mom. Her mom wrote such a sweet message that went straight to my heart. She made the card on the right. Her cards are always great. The pink/orange one on the left is from my bf. Can you believe we have been friends for almost 13 years? We are both starting this blogging adventure together, so be sure to check out her blog vintageplum. She is so creative in many areas and really inspires me in many ways. I am so very blessed by her friendship over the years and years and years.:) She is one of a kind. Thanks for thinking of me on my birthday.

Isn't this fun? It was a nice surprise from Amy G. I love the colors. I really like how she made the scallop image into a flower with the stem. And the two little flowers in the corner are so fun. more fun mail!

This first card I didn't actually get in the mail because I got to go out to eat with my dear friend Clara. She brought me this amazing card (isn't the green just the best?) and a bag full of patterned paper packs and different colored cards and envelopes! So much fun stuff! I can't wait until I can get together with her and make cards. We always have such a nice time.

The next card was a fun surpise! I recieved it from Stacy, a BRAK (birthday random act of kindness, a group on Splitcoaststampers). I don't have any of these Bella stamps and they were fun to see in real life! The image is all shimmery and the little cupcake is just too cute. You can see more of her work here. She has lots of fun cards. I am still working on getting all my cards posted. I have a few more to share. Plus, I am planning on getting together with a friend this weekend to stamp, so hopefully I can share some more of my creations. I hope you are all having a great week!

I was very surprised to receive two rak's in the mail a couple days ago! This first one is from Kitty (OregonStamper on scs). Isn't it pretty? I love the colors and the single flower. Check out more of her great work here. This card is just so sweet!

The next card was from Bonnie (raduse on scs). I was so surprised when I saw this little penguin, because I love penguins! The turquoise and gray colors are really fun too.
